News has just come in – we’ve been certified as a Great Place to Work (GPTW) and have excelled on five dimensions of building a “High Trust, High-Performance Culture”™ by GPTW – Credibility, Respect, Fairness, Pride and Camaraderie.
“Cuddles has been built on the foundation of keeping children and team members at the heart of the organisation. All our decisions are based on the awareness that secure, inspired people can deliver and lead change. A certification from GPTW is just a physical manifestation of an organisation that thrives on trust,” says Purnota Dutta Bahl, Founder and CEO of Cuddles.
GPTW Model is the world’s most researched, accepted and sustainable definition of a great workplace from an employee’s point of view. Their methodology is recognised as rigorous and objective and considered as the gold standard for defining great workplaces across business, academia and government organisations. While we’re based in Mumbai, our nutritionists operate out of 20 cities, working out of our partner hospitals. Karishma Niwate, our Nutritionist from Mumbai doesn’t feel that comes in the way of her feeling included and being part of a mission. “The people that I work with at Cuddles really make all the difference and make it a fantastic place to work. I also feel quite attached to the children here. Everyone’s cooperation and understanding makes it feel like a family,” says Karishma.
Khadija Shaikh, our Nutritionist agrees, “Cuddles genuinely cares about you and makes you feel valued. They’re really considerate of everyone’s perspective. Also, I feel that my time here has contributed a lot to my overall career.”
Shivani Shenoy, Associate Program Manager at Cuddles, feels the mission makes a big difference. She says, “Cuddles has helped me become a more compassionate person while helping me grow professionally at the same time. The work environment here is quite friendly and nice; you immediately feel included and valued. I believe working at Cuddles is more than a job, mainly because of the impact that we as an organisation are creating.”
In addition to employee responses, Great Place to Work also takes the organisation’s perks and programs into consideration, including generous benefits and vacation policy, flexibility and work-life balance, amongst others.
The GPTW certification comes at a time when most organisations and companies are also struggling with work-from-home situations. “We have an open communication policy, at all times. We discuss organisational challenges with the entire team so everyone is on board with the solutions we discuss as well. As the lockdown eased, we had to make sure our frontline healthcare staff like our nutritionists and social workers feel secure about serving our children. Our insurance policies cover these risks so they and their families can seek the best care possible,” adds Purnota Dutta Bahl.
